About
Sixty Years In The Making

Nearly a century ago, a family man came to America - working from sunrise until deep into the night to afford his family a better life. His son, Alfred (Fred) Matarazzo grew up watching the close friendship that developed between his father and his trusted accountant.

Fred Matarazzo, after graduating from the University of Pennsylvania’s Wharton School of Business, became a Certified Public Accountant in 1960. As his practice grew, more and more clients began asking for financial advice. Fred decided to expand the firm to give them this guidance - the same way trusted financial professionals had helped his father a generation earlier.

In 1990, Alfred (Al) Matarazzo, Jr. joined his father, creating a financial services firm with a  team-focused concept. Al was instrumental in developing corporate benefits plans for small businesses interested in retirement planning. From a simple accounting practice, the Matarazzos have created a singular resource for financial services, based on old-world values. Fast forward a few years, in 2017 Zach Matarazzo joined the family business after graduating from Bucknell University with a degree in financial management. Two years later Maddie, Fred's youngest grandkid, graduated from James Madison University with a degree in technical communication and also joined the firm. Though Fred Matarazzo passed away in 2012, there is no question that "Granddad" would be ecstatic to see his business enter the third generation.

Al Matarazzo, Jr. CMFC®

As the president of Main Line Retirement Advisors (MLRA), Al Matarazzo Jr. began his career in financial services at the tender age of 10. Under the watchful eye and tutelage of his father Fred Matarazzo, Al began what would become his life-long career in the finance world. With experience under his belt, Al furthered his education by attending Albright College. He graduated with a dual degree in finance and economics, and immediately put that education to use by helping build his father's firm to become a significant player in the Delaware Valley.

Al's free time is spent with his wife Mindy and his two children, Zach and Maddie. When he can, he devotes some weekends exercising his passion, and you will find him on the fly along a mountain creek or in the back bays of New Jersey baiting a hook or casting a line.
